Her mother walks in with a devastated look on her face

“Why are you doing this to our family.” she asks through tears.

“It’s just the way I am mother, please accept who I am.” She looks at her through the mirror and grabs for the make-up.

“Please don’t do this, you can’t tear our family apart!” Desperation and sadness seep from every word she utters. Her daughter looks at her and replies with a simple I’m sorry. She grabs the make up brush and begins to paint herself with the thick orange makeup.

“I was born this way.” her daughter replies after shes done. She walks past her mother into her room, grabs the green hat with fake leaves on the top and puts it on.

“I was born a carrot, please accept this mom.” She whispers quietly. Her mother breaks down and falls as she begins to sob. Her daughter walks out of the house feel shaken and sad, but determined to live her life happy and well with all her fellow carrot companions. “Finally a place I belong.” She whispers with tears in her eyes. She then settles into the dirt at a nearby farm and lives happily ever after
